Happy Mother’s Day!This is my amazing, wonderful mom, Linda. She is the best decorator, gardener, vegan baker and mom in the world. I love you so much!
Actually, she would probably be a more interesting blogger than me but she’d rather be outside making her beautiful garden even more beautiful and planting scrumptious vegetables. As a gift for Mother’s Day, my brother, James, gave her some baby tomato plants along with some basil, cilantro, zucchini and of course, she had to plant them all immediately.
Aren’t they cute little babies?
Digging the first hole for their new home.
Making their new home nice and cozy. I’m sure they’ll be very happy here.
She says that normally she wouldn’t plant them this close together but as we’re having an awful drought here in California, planting them a bit closer together will allow them to share water and therefore use less.
Time for a little drink!
Adding the mulch, which will help keep the soil moist and prevent weeds from coming up to bother them.
Look at the happy garden! I’m sure these babies will love it here. The tomatoes should start to grow and ripen sometime in July or August.
