This peanut butter banana cake is really a banana cake with peanut butter frosting. Which is a really yummy combination, by the way! And even yummier with some added chocolate.
The recipe for this cake is vegan, meaning that it has no eggs or dairy. I’ve also modified it from its original version to include less oil and sugar, so yay! I promise it still tastes just as amazing!
I use all natural, chunky peanut butter which I really think gives the best flavor (and is healthiest) but if it’s not your thing, feel free to use whatever kind of peanut butter you prefer. I also use dark chocolate chips, but that’s also up to you.
You could also bake the chocolate chips into the cake instead of melting them and drizzling them over the top. Just add them in with the dry ingredients. It’ll taste just as delicious but I do think the drizzled chocolate makes it look all fancy!
