I had been hearing about Graze for a while and I finally decided to try it out. My first box came and it was simply adorable!
I signed up for the 4 Snack Variety Box which includes 4 different snacks based on your taste preferences. You select which snacks you’d like to try or trash, and then once you’ve tried them, you tell them whether you loved it, liked it or want to trash it. Well, who doesn’t love snacks??
Here’s what came in my first Graze box:
- Deconstructed Carrot Cake
- Lemon Drizzle Flapjack
- Triple Berry Smoothie
- Pizza Margherita
And your snacks come in individual portion packages that are sealed, so you can toss one in your bag to munch on the go or anytime you want! They also give you a nutritional information sheet in your Graze box so you know exactly what is in your snacks and they offer specialized boxes for certain diet restrictions or preferences as well.
The first one I tried was the Triple Berry Smoothie.
This is a mix of dried fruits including mini strawberries, blueberries, cranberries and chewy banana slices. I’m not sure how much like a smoothie it was, but it was pretty good for a late night snack. Even though it says the bananas are chewy, for some reason, I still expected them to be like banana chips. But they were actually the same consistency of the other dried fruits, and yes, chewy.
I found it to be tangy with just a hint of sweetness, not too much. Which is good since I decided to snack on it one night at around midnight. Shh…
Next I tried the Deconstructed Carrot Cake.
This little packet includes carrot chews, cinnamon raisins, ginger fudge and walnuts.
I have to say, this did actually taste a bit like carrot cake if I could get one of each piece in my mouth at once. My only complaint is that I would’ve liked more walnuts. The cinnamon made the raisins super yummy and the carrot chews and ginger fudge were the perfect balance of sweet and spicy
I was probably the least excited to try the Lemon Drizzle Flapjack because lemon is not usually one of my favorite flavors but it surprised me.
The ‘flapjacks’ are actually more like granola bars than pancakes, which is what I think of when I hear the word ‘flapjack’. This one is described as a rustic rolled oat flapjack with zesty lemon and yogurt drizzle.
It’s cut into three pieces for snacking convenience and had a good combination of flavors, sweet, zesty and just a bit creamy tasting. Lemon is still not my top choice in dessert or snack flavors but if it were, this would be my new favorite.
The last snack I tried was the Pizza Margherita and I had to share this one because it was late afternoon and Brandon and I were both starving!
This snack mix. This was my favorite of the bunch. It includes basil crunchini, cheese cashews and mini tomato breadsticks.
Now, it didn’t exactly taste like a pizza, but the flavor combination of the three different things was delicious. Perfect savory treat with a hint of Italian seasoning and just the right amount of saltiness.
There are several choices of snack types to choose from, from all sweet or all savory selections, to special dietary preferences. Even special sharing boxes with larger portions to share with a group of friends or family members.
