I LOVE Disneyland. I’m a total Disney person and I absolutely try to go to Disneyland as often as I can. We usually go once a year, but we missed last year. So, it’s been two years since I’ve been to Disneyland. Luckily, we are going next week! I’m so excited. And of course, it got me thinking about what to pack and I thought I’d share about what kinds of things I like to wear to give you all an idea of what to wear in Disneyland.
Obviously, this is going to very a lot depending on the time of year you are going, but this will give you some ideas for May through about mid October. So, basically the warmest time of the year.

What to Wear in Disneyland
My basic recommendation is T-shirts and/or tank tops with denim shorts. You may also want to throw a sweatshirt in your suitcase too, just in case it gets a bit chilly after dark.
Definitely wear walking shoes. I’m talking athletic shoes that are made for walking or running. Because you will be walking. A lot. And when you’re not walking, you’ll be standing in line. That’s a lot of hours on your feet and they will HURT even with the most comfortable shoes you can find. I’ve never had a day in Disneyland without sore feet at the end.
I like to bring two pairs of socks for each day spent in the park. We generally go back to our room in the late afternoon for a short nap or swim and it’s nice to have a fresh, clean pair of socks to put on before heading back out again.

Other things you may want to bring with you:
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Sweatshirt
Things you should NOT wear in Disneyland any time of year:
- Heels. Seriously, I don’t know how anyone can do this without giving themselves a serious injury.
- White or very light colored shorts/pants because you will be sitting down on a lot of surfaces/seats that might not be completely clean or dry.
- I also don’t particularly recommend wearing dresses or skirts unless it’s something that’s super comfortable and airy and you can move freely and easily while wearing it.
What else would you add for a perfect Disneyland packing list?
