Here are some tips to help you wear orange to your best advantage, along with some examples for each palette. You can also shop the example pieces shown by clicking on the pictures.

Spring

Since your base coloring is warm, you are able to wear many shades of orange. You look great in lighter shades and tints of orange like apricots, peaches, corals, all the way through to red-orange. This includes lipsticks and cheek colors which are beautiful on you in these shades.

Summer

Orange is not one of your colors, but you can still wear it carefully. Definitely don’t wear orangey colored lipsticks or cheek colors. Lighter (pinker) shades will be better and if you absolutely must wear a bold, bright orange, it’s best worn away from your face. (Unless you’re dressing as a pumpkin for Halloween!) Think about a sunset, that grayed pinkish orange that fills the sky at dusk and you will have your best orange.

Autumn

With your coloring, orange is fabulous on you! All oranges will work, including deep peaches, rusts, and terracotta shades. This includes lipsticks and cheek colors which are beautiful on you in these shades.

Winter

Orange can look great on you as long as it is a pure, saturated orange. Think of a pure red mixed with a pure yellow and you will have your orange. Red-orange is great too. Just keep in mind that more brownish oranges (including makeup) will make you look dull. Orange accent pieces worn with black or blue can be quite appealing on you. Which is great this time of year especially!
