Have you ever heard of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?

Basically, the idea is that we all have a distinct personality type based on whether we are Extraverted or Introverted, Sensing or iNtuitive, Thinking or Feeling, Judging or Perceiving.

I am an ISFP. Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiver:

“Quiet, friendly, sensitive, and kind. Enjoy the present moment, what’s going on around them. Like to have their own space and to work within their own time frame. Loyal and committed to their values and to people who are important to them. Dislike disagreements and conflicts, do not force their opinions or values on others.”

And that pretty much does describe me, exactly. But what really got to me was the heading for my personality type:

“Sees much but shares little”

Well, between this and Gallup’s Strengths Finder Test, which told me that my biggest strength is Input, I am hoping to find some success learning to act on this strength.

“You naturally soak up information in the same way that a sponge soaks up water. Input without output can lead to stagnation. Be more than just a collector of information. Leverage this knowledge and turn it into action. Identify situations in which you can share the information you have collected with other people.”

And so, all of this has led me to be even more excited about this blog, because it gives me a way to share all of the information, thoughts, data, things, and ideas I have bottled up inside me! Thank you for helping me to do that. 🙂Type Talk and Strengths Finder 2.0
