Disneyland Isn’t the Only One Turning 60!

We’re going to be heading to Disneyland in just a couple of days, so I thought I’d share some flashback Disney photos of the park and some of my own. This year is Disneyland’s 60th anniversary and it also happens to be my dad’s 60th birthday on June 29th so we will be celebrating both while we’re there!

Here’s an early photo of me in Disneyland. I’m not sure, but I think I was about four years old here.

Me and Mickey! I’m not positive on this, but I think this picture was taken a year after the previous one. Which means it was around 1987.

Great photo of James and me in 1991, judging by our t-shirts. This was taken in the lobby of the Anaheim Hilton as we were heading to the park for the day.

This is James and me with Minnie when ToonTown first opened in 1993.

And the whole family with Mickey in ToonTown. I know. But it was the early 90s, what can I say?

Skipping ahead about five years, back in my high school days with James and Brandon and the gorgeous Matterhorn in the background.

This picture of Brandon and me was taken around 2002. I know the castle is in the background there somewhere. You can see it if you squint real hard.

And here I am with my 50th Anniversary golden Mickey Mouse ears in 2005. 10 years ago, believe it or not. This was taken outside the Soarin’ Over California ride.

This is the castle all decked out for the 50th Anniversary celebration! Side note: the fireworks show for the 50th on the 4th of July was AMAZING.

My mom, James and me in the California Adventure park. This was one of those moments we were just walking and James put on mom’s white hat so Brandon had to snap a picture.

This is one of many of the “Hidden Mickeys” in the Disneyland park. I’m not telling where this one was though! Finding it was a special, unexpected treat!

No Disneyland post (or trip) could be complete without a Mickey waffle! 🙂

And we didn’t go to Disneyland last year, but here is a picture of all five of us on our most recent Disney trip in 2013.
