Summer coloring is cool and delicate.

Some descriptive words for the Summer seasonal palette are rosy, blue, and soft.

• If you are a Summer that means there is a low level of contrast between your hair and eye color. However you can also have cool deep hair, eye color and light skin.
• You have an overall cool and ashy coloring no matter if your hair is blonde or brown, whether your skin is light or dark.
• Your eyes have a soft, cool tone quality to them, like slate or blue. Often with some gray to them, such as grayish hazel, grayish blue, or grayish green.
• Your skin is dominantly cool with pink or blue undertone.
• Your hair color is cool and ashy, with little or no red or golden highlights. Hair color within the Summer season ranges from the lightest and ashiest blonde to deep ash brown.

Not all Summers are alike. Summers may be Light, Cool, or Soft.

If you are Light and Cool, you are a Light Summer.

Light Summer have an overall look that is soft and delicate. 

Does your hair have prominent gray (ashy) tones?

• Does your dark brown, blonde, white, or gray hair have ashy tones?
• Do you have light blue or green eyes?
• Do you have pink or bluish undertones to your skin? 
• Does your skin have a soft tone to it?

If you are Cool and Soft, you are a Cool Summer.

Cool Summers have an overall look that is cool and soft.

Are you a mixture of these?

• Do you have mousy or ashy dark blonde or light brown hair?
• Are your eyes a soft and muted shade of smokey blue, green, or gray?
• Is there little contrast between the color of your hair, eyes, and skin?
• Does your skin has a pinkish tone?

If you are Soft and Cool, you are a Soft Summer.

Soft Summers have an overall look that is muted and dusty.

These are very simplified, textbook examples of Summers just to get you started on the path to finding your best colors. Color Analysis is not an exact science so it’s impossible to place every individual into these neat little boxes. Your coloring is as unique as you are!
