Getting the House Ready to Sell

One of the biggest eye sores was this retaining wall in the front. Curb appeal = zero.

A coat of fresh paint works wonders though, let me tell you!

My mom helped a ton by working on what we called a yard. When I walk outside and see plants, I’m still a little shocked. “Whose house is this?? How did I get here?”

We’re in the middle of a HARDCORE DROUGHT so a lawn was never going to be an option. I think the bark really gives it a nice finish. Wait, whose yard is this though? It’s much too nice to be mine…

The kitchen, which you may remember from my first cabinet repainting post. Completely re-staged by my mom, who is amazing at these things.

This is the guest bedroom. Which used to be a multi-use shipping department/office/guest room. Didn’t clean up too badly though.

Should I really post a picture of our office space? I guess I may as well since all of these pics are already online for the real estate listing. haha At least it’s somewhat tidy.

Bathroom 1 was recently completely remodeled and I have to admit, will be the hardest to leave when we move because it’s just such a beautiful space.

The master bathroom, which you just saw in my previous post where I repainted the cabinet.

The master bedroom underwent a few different transformations as we prepared for the open houses. In the end, we got rid of most of the furniture even though it’s a very large room.

And the living room. You can probably tell I like green. A lot. The new house is going to have an entirely different color palette though, and I can’t wait to get in there and paint it all. There will be pictures. Lots of them.

Hope you enjoyed this brief home tour!
